3G Fixed Wireless

Fixed wireless broadband refers to a technology that allows a network high-speed wireless Internet access connection between two fixed locations over a wide area. Broadband is a telecommunications signal of high bandwidth, or a frequency greater than 1 MHz, or one million hertz cycles per second.

3G fixed wireless utilizes a radio antenna located at each fixed location to establish a wireless link. These links are arranged as point-to-point transmissions to facilitate use of the antennas. A point-to-point data link is a method of telecommunications connection using two designated endpoints.

The 3G fixed wireless system used by wireless devices to connect two fixed locations with a radio or other wireless link to enable data communication between those locations. Wireless LANs, or local area networks, typically manage 3G wireless systems. Wireless LANs link multiple devices via a wireless distribution method and provide a network connection.
